Bathroom Pods for Motel One
Motel One is continuing its UK expansion with its second hotel being scheduled to open in Edinburgh Summer 2013. Elements Europe has been appointed by the main contractor, Ogilvie Construction, to manufacture and deliver 129 bathroom pods for the Motel One Hotel.
The new Motel One is located on Princess Street in Edinburgh City Centre, in close proximity to the National and Royal Museum of Scotland and Edinburgh Castle.
Elements Europe will be manufacturing 129 bathroom pods with a further 11 en-suite bathrooms being supplied as bespoke kit packs to be constructed on site by the contractor.
The bathroom pods comprise of 40mm x 60mm hot rolled steel box sections, which is in lieu of the standard cold rolled steel frame construction. The use of hot rolled box sections was necessary for this project, due to the bathroom pods being integrated into an existing structure.
Manufacturing of these bathroom pods is underway at Elements Europe’s factory based in Shropshire, the installation for the hotel is scheduled for April 2013.
This is Elements Europe’s first project with Ogilvie Construction. Kevin Arthur Element’s Europe Sales Director commented, “ We are excited to work with both Motel One and Ogilvie Construction and hope to build strong relationships, we have detailed knowledge of the brand and quality standards Motel One expects and will assist Ogilvie Construction in surpassing the clients expectations.”
