Room Module Install Commences for Berkeley Homes in Bath
Elements Europe has commenced installation of room modules on behalf of Berkeley Homes, in Bath’s city centre.
Berkeley Homes chose Elements Europe as its preferred supplier for its Bath student accommodation scheme in July of last year. Since the multimillion pound contract was signed Elements Europe has been working in collaboration with Berkeley Homes’ professional team, and with architects, Stride Treglown to ensure the very best solution for the scheme.
Sales Director Kevin Arthur commented “It is a pleasure to be working with Berkeley Homes to manufacture high quality room modules for its scheme.”
“Our design team has worked closely with Stride Treglown to establish the best possible way to modularise the building, and we have designed each room type to the exact specification of Berkeley Homes.”
In total there will be 604 room modules installed over five storeys. 461 of these modules are student bedrooms. Elements Europe has manufactured three types of rooms; a study bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a studio room featuring a kitchenette and a twodio room, designed for double occupancy.
All modules will be installed using the sites tower crane, and like all installations, a carefully thought out programme has been developed to ensure modules arrive on site at the right time and in the correct order to ensure efficient lifting and installation.
The accommodation is due to open in time for the September 2016 intake of students.
