Josh Receives Academic Acknowledgment
J-Ross Developments Ltd is very proud to see its Junior Architectural Technician, Josh Harding recognised by having his work published in the Journal of Construction Engineering.
Josh wrote a discussion article as part of this Masters degree. The paper discussed whether building information modelling applications benefit design teams in achieving BREEAM accreditation.
Josh’s lecturer was so impressed with the accurate and informative nature of his findings that it was put forward to Hindawi Publishing Corporation, who in turn also thought his work should be shared. Josh’s research has now been published in the Journal of Construction Engineering for other students and the industry as a whole to gain from.
James Ellis, Senior Architectural Technician at J-Ross Developments commented “I’m really pleased Josh’s hard work has been noted.” James added “Since Josh joined our team, we have ensured that he has been involved in a number of projects where BREEAM standards have been required, in order to put his academic knowledge into practice.”
Josh joined J-Ross Developments’ architectural team two years ago, having graduated from Preston University with a BSc Honours in Architectural Design Technology.
Josh wanted to continue his studies by undertaking a Masters in BIM for Integrated Construction at the University of Wolverhampton, studying two days a week whilst also working part time at J-Ross Developments.
Josh commented “I chose this topic to discuss in my paper because my masters is in BIM, and my BSc Honours dissertation was on BREEAM design teams.” Josh added “It was great to join J-Ross Developments and get involved in projects requiring BREEAM standards, and learn first hand from a professional design team. This certainly assisted me in writing my discussion paper and I am really please it has been given recognition.”
