Planning Application Submitted to West Lothian Council

Kensington & Edinburgh Estates Ltd is working in partnership with CALA Group to bring a new residential development to fruition in Linlithgow, a town 20 miles North-West of Edinburgh.

CALA Group builds premium homes in which people aspire to live throughout Scotland, the Midlands and the South East of England. The premium standard of housing CALA Group develop will be mirrored in this fantastic new residential site in West Lothian, located on the south side of the A803 that leads into the town.

CALA and Kensington & Edinburgh Estates have presented their proposals to the Linlithgow community in the form of a public consultation. This is intended to inform the community of the emerging proposals by CALA and Kensington & Edinburgh Estates. CALA design personnel were amongst those on hand to receive comments from the local community. These comments have been taken into account and the scheme has been enhanced.

The development will comprise of 51 new homes of which 15% are affordable. The affordable homes will incorporate two and three bedroom cottage flats and terrace houses while the private housing will incorporate four and five bedroom family homes. The site, of which has one main entrance, with an arrival square, also features a play area and a public square to the rear of the site. Existing trees which border two sides of the site will be retained in order to preserve privacy to adjoining residential areas.

Now that all comments have been addressed from the consultation meeting, CALA and Kensington & Edinburgh Estates have submitted the planning application to West Lothian Council.
