Show Flats Now Open at Colchester Student Accommodation Scheme!
The marketing suite at our student accommodation scheme in Colchester has now opened! Situated next to our site on King Edwards Quay, the marketing suite showcases two room types and a communal kitchen and living area. The show flats are initially open three days a week for students to take a wander around, bookings are now being taken for the first phase of the development which will open in September 2014.
Show flats available to view at our marketing suite include the spacious Studio Flat complete with an en-suite bathroom, large kitchen with breakfast bar, bed, wardrobe and study area. Perfect for those wanting to have their own private space with all their amenities in one room. The Studio apartments are also perfect for a couple wanting to share a flat with a double bed option available for these students.
The second of the two rooms on show is the standard cluster en-suite room which can be found in a shared flat. This room comprises of a modern chrome and white en-suite bathroom, three quarter bed, wardrobe and study area.
The spacious modern kitchen and communal living area which forms part of our shared flats is also available to view at the marketing suite. Kitchen units span one side of the room with cooking facilities and plenty of storage space. There is also a dining table and a sofa area within the kitchen, making for a truly comfortable space for students to relax with their flat mates.
The student scheme is being developed by The Pickstock Group as a turnkey project with JR Pickstock Ltd, the contractor company in the group acting as the main contractors. The group’s offsite modular construction company Elements Europe are in the process of manufacturing all of the fully volumetric Room Pods in line with the sites programme.
Phase one of the scheme will officially open in September 2014, ready for the start of the new academic year, followed by phase two in September 2015. The scheme comprises of 779 student rooms over the two phases. This is the largest student accommodation scheme that The Pickstock Group will have brought to fruition and the largest privately owned student scheme in Colchester.
