First Brick Laying Ceremony – Park Hall, Oswestry

Pickstock Construction has held a ceremonial laying of the ‘first’ brick at Park Hall, Oswestry with representatives of the Shropshire Council and Shropshire Housing Group.

The 18 finished homes will offer a mix of two bungalows, nine two-bedroom houses and seven three-bedroom homes. Of those, four of the properties will be made available for shared ownership, giving young families a hand on to the housing ladder by splitting the investment in a home with Shropshire Housing Group. The homes are compliant with Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 and have photovoltaic panels which will generate electricity for the home.

Pickstock Construction is due to complete by July of this year. Andy Jones, Managing Director commented “We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Shropshire Housing Group to bring quality homes at affordable prices to the area, the site is looking fantastic and we look forward to handing it over later this year”.

Chief Executive of Shropshire Housing Group, Jake Berriman, said “We’re really happy to have the Park Hall development under way. Working with Pickstock Construction means that there are immediate benefits from our investment in the community, through supporting employment and skills, as well as the longer term positives of bringing new homes onto the market”.
